Intelligent traffic light system with traffic movement sensors help to monitor and control traffic situation

Traffic Management System

The Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) integrated integrates technology primarily to improve the flow of vehicle traffic and improve safety on road. Real-time traffic data from cameras, speed sensors, etc. flows into a centralized Traffic Management Control Center (TMCC) where it is integrated and processed for incident detection, and may result in actions taken to Divert  traffic route, with the goal of improving traffic flow.

Traffic Control System
Central controllers receive data from sensors monitoring current traffic and road conditions to operate variable message signs, roadway access controllers, traffic lights, and the dispatch of emergency vehicles. Advanced sensors that actively respond to pre-defined events can be used to update variable message signs in real time to warn drivers of accidents, weather conditions, and heavy traffic, resulting in safer driving conditions and more efficient and comfortable travel.

Inductive loops
Vehicle detection through inductive loops embedded in the road’s surface can provide accurate vehicle classification based on vehicle magnetic profiles. Vehicle loop sensor also send signal to the control panel about vehicle flow based on induction profile of vehicle category.

Video detection
Video detection is based on real-time image processing providing efficient wide-area detection well suited for registration of incidents on roads. It can also be used for vehicle detection at signalized intersections where it is difficult to install inductive loops.

Radar Detection Signage
Radar detector detect speed of the vehicle in motion and help to guide users about speed limit of the area by showing the information on the digital display. Radar Signage with radar detector and digital signage identity over speeding and display speed rate on the display.

IR Detector
Infrared sensors are often used to detect stopped vehicles and also to detect pedestrians at pedestrian crossings. Detectors send signal to the traffic controller and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic light based on signal received from Traffic control system

Traffic Light
High intensity luminous LEDs with adaptive control of lighting levels depending on traffic volume and weather situation can further reduce the energy consumption of LED lighting. Traffic light receive signals from control system based on information received various vehicle and pedestrian detectors.

Variable Traffic Sign
Variable Message Signs are key elements of dynamic traffic management systems. Depending on the traffic situation, the variable displays inform, warn, and guide the pedestrian for movement based on signal received from traffic control system.

Traffic Controller
Traffic Management Controller transmits and receives signals from various traffic peripheral devices to manage and control traffic situation. Traffic control system is a real-time adaptive traffic control system that enables traffic signals to immediately adapt to traffic demand.
